Yoga is a systematic method of healing that integrates the mind, breath and body through poses that helps with the removal of obstacles that impede the natural functioning of our systems.Yoga teaches us that everything we need for optimal health and happiness is present within us. Yoga practice connects us to something deeper inside of us – the true self.
*Hatha Yoga refers to a set of physical exercises (asanas) designed to align the muscles and bones and open the many energy channels of the body, especially the spine, so that energy can flow freely. A powerful tool for self-transformation, Hatha yoga requires that one pay special attention to the breath, which helps calm the fluctuations of the mind. This allows the practitioner to become more present in the unfolding of each moment, resulting in more awareness and relaxation.
Restorative Yoga is about slowing down and opening the body through passive stretching. During aa restorative class, there is minimal movement, doing just a few postures in the course of an hour. Your muscles begin to relax deeply as you hold poses for 2-5 minutes. Props are used to support your body instead of your muscles. Restorative classes are very mellow, and an excellent antidote to stress.
Restorative Flow Yoga offers deep relaxation infused with mindful movement that connects the mind-body through breath work, and stillness. This practice offers This calmness and balance to support regulating the central nervous system while increasing blood flow and fluid circulation in the body.
Gong Meditation: Sound and vibration therapy help facilitate a deep sense of peace; releasing tension and unblocking stagnant energy, helping to balance the energy centers working on a cellular level to rebalance the physical, emotional and subtle bodies.
Chair Yoga: Get Fit Where You Sit! Practicing chair yoga will improve your strength, flexibility, reduce stress and improve mental clarity. A gentle practice that will honor the mind-body connection. This is a senior friendly practice. Wednesdays 12:30 PM. Click here to Reserve Your Mat today
Body Loving Flow: Restorative Flow: A moving meditation that invites you to let go and connect to the breath while circulating energy through the body to gain optimal health. Emerging Hatha Flow: Improve the body’s physical and mental well-being by opening up the channels for your breath and energy to flow freely through the body by exploring a set of physically engaging movements designed to align your skin, muscles and bones.
